The logical explanation would have been ‘Oh but that person that looks like Mary Margaret can’t be her because she has long hair. These memories I’m having must be from my other life where she’s Snow White and she drank a potion that made her forget who she is. Plus she’s talking about the Evil Queen not Kathryn. Cool. Cool cool cool’.

Oh I can’t even tell you how many times this past week I have come out the tracked tag, written essays worth of feelings, only to delete my post in frustration. It’s all coming out today though ‘cause I don’t care anymore. If people aren’t willing to see what’s in front of them then i’ll just have to try and show them. I’m not trying to force my opinions on people but frankly the ridiculous amount of David hate is getting too much and I fully intend to put a flag in this blog saying that it wont be found here.
i agree on the whole curse thing being responsible for it, and i had to lol when Josh had to explain it cause DUH its obvious, but what i don't get is how the curse is only affecting him after 1x06 as you said. I was always convinced the memories are fake and all, and thought the curse didn't effect him therefore he got the memories but now he is cursed and i don't really know why. and i watched every fuckin episode more than once, what did i miss :)
I know, I think everyone is being so blinded by his actions that they aren’t looking for the reasons behind them. They’re so ready to hate because as a moral rule cheating is wrong, and lying is too. But I feel like people are completely missing the point. From the pilot episode this has been explained but I feel like people haven’t really understood it at all.
Well, that’s a whole other kettle of fish. David was in Gold’s shop when he ‘remembered’ so does that mean it was Gold that put the curse on him? Is there some reason Gold wants to remain in Storybrooke so he gave David fake memories to keep the ~illusion of Storybrooke alive? It’s the most likely answer - which makes me suspicious. Or perhaps it was Regina. Who knows.
Once he got those memories that was part and parcel of the curse. Once he got the memories he was cursed. That’s why we see his change over the next few episodes, why he changed from breaking up with Kathryn to be with Mary Margaret to then choosing Kathryn.
The curse was designed to take away everyones happy endings, to take away the things everyone loved the most. As we can see constantly in Fairytale World, for Charming that was Snow White. Snow White was his true love, it’s the very reason Regina used the curse in the first place, to keep them apart. So there will be so many barriers as they try to get back together, and thanks to the curse, one of the barriers will probably be themselves.
The issue is that Emma is supposed to be the one to break the curse, but she hasn't spent any time with David yet. MM is starting to get a bit stronger because she lives with Emma, but David doesn't have that "saviour exposure" yet. Hopefully in the next couple of episodes (even if it's antagonistic questioning) Emma will start to rub off on him a little. I expect MM/David progress by end of season, but he has to make it up to her. --Mae the Anon

Huh, that’s a good theory. I wonder if it is Emma’s ~closeness to the people of Storybrooke that defines how affected they are by the curse. After all, Graham was prety darn close when she let her walls down and kissed him, and then he began to remember everything. Huh.
Oh, I definately think we’ll get progress, and I can’t bloody wait. And technically he is Prince Charming, once he realises what has happened he will make it up to her because that is who he is. And she won’t care because she will understand, as that is who she is.
